The actor previously worked with The Boys model and executive producer Eric Kripke on Supernatural. Jensen Ackles, the superstar actor from Morgan, has already appeared in the third series The Boys as Soldier Boy, which means the pair could reunite if Ackles returns for season four.

Kripke recently spoke about his attempts to secure Morgan’s participation in the new season, saying e! News: “Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a big fan of the show, so he and I are talking. We are trying to figure something out for season 4.”

He continued, “Nothing is finished yet, but me and I chat and email and see that we can get him to work with his busy schedule. So, stay tuned for that.”

The plot details of The Boys Season 4 are relatively weak on the ground, but former creator Eric Kripke RadioTimes.com That season three finale — which left the cast in a very difficult position as Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) learned he didn’t have long to live — would set the stage for the next sequel.

“The storylines that we have prepared must collide with each other at the end of this season,” he explained. “And from this explosion come the new threads of the story, and then we pick them up [in] Season 4.”

Jessie T Usher, who plays a fast-paced A-Train in the superhero drama, added that The Seven is “worse off than when we started” by the end of Season 3, which could mean more unexpected behavior in front of its remaining members.

Season 4 boys release date speculation

There’s no official release date yet, but filming has begun for the new season, so we might not have to wait too long!

The Boys Season 4 can premiere at late 2023 – But that’s just an estimate for now.

The Boys was officially renewed for a fourth season on Friday, June 10, 2022, just one week after season three premiered on Amazon Prime Video to strong reviews and fan participation.

“Speaking of the cast and crew, we are very grateful to Sony, Amazon and most fans for embracing the show and allowing us to deliver even more,” show director Kripke said in a statement.

“We are thrilled to continue the Butcher and Boys battle against Homelander and the Seven, as well as comment on the crazy world we live in. Also, this is the first time in history that an exploding genitalia leads to more success.”

Some fans assumed the show was coming to a natural end during Season 3, but Kripke refused to weigh when questioned. RadioTimes.comciting his earlier claim that Supernatural would end after five seasons (it ran for 15 in total).

He said, “As the person who has literally been the most wrong in the world about how long a show should last – like, no presenter in the history of the broker has been so wrong about when his show should end – I’d say I’ve learned very well from this mistake and that I don’t speak up. Really about where my endpoints are.”

Who can return for The Boys 4 season?

While Amazon Prime Video has yet to release the official cast list for Season 4 of The Boys 4, it seems almost certain that the series leading Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Laz Alonso, Karen Fukuhara, and Tomer Capone will reprise their roles as the lead of Billy Butcher’s team.

The show wouldn’t be complete without the fearsome Homelander from Anthony Starr, and it’s also possible that Chace Crawford and Colby Minifie will return as his fawning henchmen The Deep and Ashley Barrett.

We can also see more of Jessie T Usher in the role of A-Train, who briefly looked like he could be written from the show after a cardiac arrest midway through Season 3, only to be brought back to life by the scholars at Vought.

Asher told RadioTimes.com what he wanted to see in season four: “I’d like to see the A-Train interact with the boys a little bit more. I feel like he only sees them while scrolling, he doesn’t get much opportunity even to interact with them.”

“And I feel like he is aware of a lot of what they do and he chooses to ignore a lot. I feel like just seeing him acknowledge the world around him a little bit more, it would be very interesting to get us in season 4.”

After Season 3 of The Boys wraps up with the gang turning on their new ally Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles), fans may be wondering. Whether Ackles will return for season 4.

Well, if the boy’s soldier doesn’t die, Ackles can come back – but that hasn’t been confirmed yet.

What could happen in Season 4 of The Boys?

The story of The Boys Season 4 is likely another blend of plot elements from the original comic books and new ideas inspired by real-world titles.

In July 2022, Karl Urban revealed to the Collider that he wasn’t even sure what exactly would happen next season, but had no doubt it would be “crazy”.

“We’re two months away from filming, and I have no idea [what will happen]. This will tell you something, but yeah, not too far away… I’m actually going to meet with Kripke next week and expect to start conversations about what’s in store,” Urban said.

“I like to give them respect for being able to do their own writing process and not get bullied by actors, ‘What do we do?'” “But I can’t wait. They always come up with crazy things, so yeah, it’s going to be fun.”

in conversation with RadioTimes.comShowrunner Eric Kripke outlined his belief that each episode of The Boys should be narratively satisfying even when viewed in isolation, so expect a similar plot structure next season.

He explained, “I think every episode should have a story. I’m so annoyed with the streaming show makers who say, ‘Well really what we’re making is an eight-episode movie.’ It’s like, ‘Go f**k yourself, man.'”

“We work in TV and our job is to make TV episodes, and there’s a reason why they’re called episodes. And so for me, I want every episode to have its beginning, middle, and end. And I want the season to have a beginning, middle, and end.”

Kripke added, “There are some people who just don’t have accuracy in their episodes, don’t have accuracy in their seasons, and expect you to invest 16 hours before you hit anything — which is crazy to me.”

Kripke also confirmed that the upcoming show, The Boys Presents: Varsity, will blend in with season three and season four.

“There’s definitely a crossover,” Kripke said. Limit. “And we’re doing our best to design a world that sees some of the issues and storylines in Season 3 delivered into Season 1 of Varsity.”

“There’s a presidential campaign going on in the background of that season and there are certain things going on at that school that are a reaction to season three of The Boys.

“There’s a boy soldier, etcetera, but also some new storylines happening in that season of the spin-off that we have to pick up and build on in season four of the show.”
